ABOUT THE HARBUS FOUNDATION
The Harbus Foundation aims to effect social change in the areas of education, literacy and journalism. It strives to create meaningful local impact through a combination of funding and student outreach. The trustees - Ravi Sarin, McCall Merchant, and Heidi Yip - made the commitment early last year to extend grants to as many social enterprises as the endowment would allow. Forty HBS students contributed efforts over the past year through The Harbus Foundation Board and its seven grant-making and venture philanthropy groups to identify the Boston-area social enterprises that the Foundation would be supporting this year.
