On 10 September, Paul Otellini, President and CEO of Intel Corporation, spoke in a packed Aldrich classroom to the HBS community. He spent the entire afternoon with students, holding an informal reception as well as a dinner for ECs. The level of access that students got to this big-wig was remarkable.

How many people fit into an Aldrich classroom? This is what those fortunate to squeeze into Aldrich 111 to see Paul Otellini, President and CEO of Intel Corporation, must have wondered. The event, hosted on September 10th by the Globalization Club and the TechMedia Club, proved to be extremely popular with RCs, ECs and Executive Education students alike, and set a new record at capacity utilization in Aldrich.

Mr. Otellini gave an insightful overview of "Innovations at Intel". He explained Intel's activities both on the high-end, where Intel is the industry leader for chips with ever improved performance, as well as on the lower-end where Intel has developed the ATOM processor enabling the latest Mobile Internet Devices. Mr. Otellini mastered the following Q&A session well, his light-hearted sense of humor and approachable manner bringing the occasional bursts of laughter to Aldrich.

Following the presentation, EC students were invited to meet Mr. Otellini and several senior Intel managers during an informal reception at the Gallatin Lounge. This proved a great opportunity for interested students to inquire about Intel in a relaxed environment. The day was rounded up at Upstairs in the Square, where Intel hosted some 25 ECs for dinner with the CEO.
