Job Description
The Harbus News Corporation is seeking an outgoing, driven, organized individual to handle the advertising accounts for The Harbus, the weekly Harvard Business School campus newspaper. This position requires maintaining relationships with recruiters, growing new relationships with local, national, and campus advertisers, selling ad space in weekly and special issues, working with the newspaper designer to make sure the ads appear in the paper properly, assisting general manager with collection of outstanding accounts, and generating new ideas for ad campaigns throughout the year.
Personality
Excellent oral and written communication is a must. A good sense of humor and laidback personality are also important for this close working environment. A background in sales is a plus but not required. Candidates should have working knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
Additional Info
This job is located on the Harvard Business School campus and functions on the school schedule. Our offices are closed for winter break, spring break, and the summer months (mid May through mid August). This position is full time in the fall and part time in the spring. Interviews will begin in mid to late February. Pay is hourly along with commission. Health benefits and vacation time included.
