HBS Rugby Remains Undefeated
Harvard Continues Their Winning Ways With A 76-3 Victory Over Saratoga

Team Co-Captain Jeff Todd (HLS) described the win as a great team effort but there were some outstanding individual performances. Marco Di Falco (NG) distinguished himself all over the pitch with strong runs and excellent activity in the rucks. He was named "man of the match" by the Saratoga team captain. Randy Goldstein (ND) continued the excellent representation of the class of 2009 by scoring by scoring both the first try of the match and the first try of the second half. Goldstein's first try came off a perfect pop pass by Atsushi Oshiba (OF) and the second from a penalty play. He finished off a hat-trick performance when he beat the final Saratoga defender with a perfect two on one play with Mark Cuthbert (OA). Joe Harrington (HLS) scored in the first half when he alertly fell on a loose ball in the try zone. Brendan McNamara (OG) scored his first try ever with HBS Rugby with a nifty move on the left wing in the first half. Jeff Miller (KSG) ran the back line to near perfection and scored three trys of his own showing what the policy guys can do. Warren Hogarth (OG) scored off the wing as well after the ball smoothly moved through the entire back line. Team Co-Captain Liam Patrick (OC) turned in his usual outstanding performance scoring one try and seven conversion kicks.
The team continues to train hard in preparation for the annual Wharton tournament which will be help October 6th -7th in Philadelphia. HBS Rugby's next home match is Saturday October 14th against Boston Ironsides at 2:00pm at Cumnock Fields. Prior to the A-Side match the HBS B-Side will take on the Harvard Old Boys at 12:00pm. There will be a barbeque following the Old Boys match. Please come out and support your Harvard ruggers.
The HBS Rugby Team is looking for new players. The club practices and plays matches in both semesters and has annual tours to the Wharton School of Finance, Montreal, London and the MBA Rugby World Cup at Duke University.
