The HBS Finance Club was honored to have Jamie Dimon, Chairman and CEO of JPMorgan Chase, give an engaging speech in a packed Spangler Auditorium on Tuesday, November 6, 2007. Roger Huffstetler particularly enjoyed "the interaction we had with the folks in the warehouse. The young man who led our tour was full of practical and insightful comments regarding how and why the warehouse was organized." After discussing C&S Grocers during a LEAD class, a member of section F used relationships he had with the organization to set up a site visit to the warehouse. (4) comments
HBS students had the opportunity to experience military traditions as they joined the HBS Armed Forces Alumni Association (AFAA) as it celebrated the annual Veterans Ceremony in the The Williams Room on Wednesday November 14th. On the afternoon of October 25th, the Automotive and Transportation Club visited the Lamborghini Boston automobile dealership. The dealership, run by father and son team Bill and Todd Currie, gave club members unfettered access to the Italian supercars normally reserved for movie stars, professional athletes and captains of industry. The HBS Dorm Energy Competition and SFP/OWA Energy Challenge have been underway for three weeks now with residents making small changes in their behavior to decrease electricity consumption by 10% over the four week period.
