The Global Impact of Islamic Finance

Three Experts on Islamic Finance - Samuel L. Hayes III (HBS, '61), Ibrahim Ward, and Aamir A. Rehman (HBS, '04) - spoke to over 70 academics and professionals at Aldrich to introduce the fundamental principles, historical background, industry overview and implications of Islamic finance. The India School Fund Needs You

Rarely does an HBS grad get the chance to really 'make a difference' before even taking hold of her degree. But that is exactly what happened in 2005 when five HBS students returned from the India Treck and created the India School Fund (ISF). Two months later, section mates joined the effort and raised $35,000 to build the first education center in Rajugella village, Uttar Pradesh (UP). By now, the center is completed and will welcome its first cohort of students in Sept 2007. (0) comments
