Jung, who was ranked 35 in the Forbes list of 100 Most Powerful Women in 2005, stressed the importance of constantly reinventing oneself as a person and a leader, as she addressed a primarily female audience in Spangler auditorium in an event hosted jointly by the Leadership and Ethics Forum and the Social Enterprise Club. Students from across Harvard University have united in a cross-campus effort to improve minority representation in national bone marrow registries. Minorities are presently grossly underrepresented in national marrow registries that are used to find donor matches for patients with blood cancers; because minorities are more likely to find matches in their own communities, many minorities die unnecessarily waiting for a match. A CENTENNIAL MOMENT 1946: Fatigue Laboratory In 1930, the "Fatigue Laboratory" was created in the basement of the Business School's Morgan Hall under the direction of Harvard Professor Dr. Lawrence J. Henderson. Experiments were conducted on Business School student volunteers and others to study the human body's ability to adapt and acclimatize to extreme environmental conditions, such as heat, cold, and high altitudes. Green Living Reps wine and dine HBS community while kicking off the HBS Dorms Energy Competition and Sustainability Pledge. The HBS Dorms Energy Competition was kicked off with a party in Hamilton Hall lounge on Monday, November 13. In addition to wine, beer, sushi, satay, and a recycled plastic toothbrush, the 100 attendees were treated to a brief presentation by the Green Living Representatives on the Green Living Program at HBS, competition details and ways to conserve energy.
