US News released its latest rankings of Master's programs in Business in the US. According to these rankings, the top ten Business Schools are: 1 Harvard University 2 Stanford University 3 University of Pennsylvania (Wharton) 4 MIT(Sloan) 5 Northwestern University (Kellogg) 6 Columbia University 7 University of Chicago 8 U.
Popular public television talk-show host Charlie Rose listens intently as Professor Michael E. Porter makes a point during an interview on "The Charlie Rose Show," which was taped at HBS on March 31 and will be shown nationally in the near future. After the Porter interview, Rose talked with Henry "Hank" Paulson (MBA '70), chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs.
White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card visited a packed Aldrich classroom on March 25th as part of the HBS Leadership & Values Initiative's Distinguished Speaker Series. In his remarks and responses to audience questions, Secretary Card explained many of the key duties of his office, elaborated on principles that underlie his relationship with the President of the United States, and brought to light concerns and temptations he associates with the Chief of Staff position.
South Africa has made great strides in addressing the legacy of apartheid, according to the South African Ambassador to the US, H.E. Barbara Masekela. Ms. Barbara Masekela who was appointed Ambassador to the US in June 2003 was speaking to students at the Kennedy School of Government, on March 10, on "Challenges Ahead for the Young Democracy in South Africa".
The Global Outsourcing Club invited a number of distinguished speakers to participate on a panel on current trends in international outsourcing. Led by Professor John Wells, the panelists spoke about their past experiences and future expectations for the industry.

"I'm a revolutionary in my heart," claimed Bill Browder, the head of the largest Russian hedge fund, in his meeting with HBS students on March 15th. Mr. Browder, an international investor and protagonist of a recent HBS case, came to share his experience of shareholder activism in one of the most dynamic and challenging emerging markets, Russia.
