Spring Break
The House of D (OD) team was unleashed back onto the volleyball court for its opening match last Tuesday night, starting the season off strong with a 2-0 (15-10, 15-9) victory over the OH team. Despite a service ace from Mike Ward, the Ds struggled early in the match, allowing the OH squad to take a commanding 7-1 lead.
The puck recently dropped on the HBS Blades 2001-02 hockey season. For those new to the HBS sports scene, the Men and Women of the Blades practice and play ice hockey games against local graduate schools at Harvard's Bright Hockey Center each Sunday evening from October to March.
Tuesday afternoon, well-rested after a three-day weekend, NE defeated NK 7-2 in the quarterfinals of the soccer playoffs. Fans from both NE and NK lined the pitch on Tuesday to see some magic moments in intramural soccer history. NE pounded the NK defense for the first 10 minutes of the game, unable to penetrate NK's solid goaltending.
