Sen. Obama's outrageous messiah complex 7

The Berkeley Beacon, Emerson College, Boston, MA

13 hours ago by Philip Primeau

Barack Obama has come a long way in a short time, evolving from promising rookie to towering national figure in just a few years. The golden-tongued senator has proven a remarkable success in red and blue states alike. His electrified foot soldiers make rival partisans seem lackadaisical, and he has surely stirred the Democrats like nobody since Robert Kennedy.

Letter to the editor: Visits to UHCS yield little results 5

Northeastern News, Northeastern University, Boston, MA

I love Northeastern. I brag to all my friends back home about how legitimate the co-op program is, how challenging the classes are and how easily the campus integrates with the city of Boston. Sure there are a few snags, like the bureaucratic red tape known as the "NU Shuffle," but nothing is perfect right?

Rolling Stone, 'Wow, this sucks' 2

Keene Equinox, Keene State College, Keene, NH

1 day ago by LAURA ROBIDA

Rolling Stone used to be a good magazine, but now the fact of the matter is that Rolling Stone sucks.

There was a time when you could go buy Rolling Stone on the newsstand and not mind paying for it. There was even a time when having the obligatory music fan subscription wasn't an embarrassment.

When students receive their housing assignments, they assume their roommate will be of the same sex as they are. However, this may not always be so at UConn, which recently completed its first year of gender-neutral housing. The students participated in a pilot program that allowed male and female students to live together in Garrigus Suites, formerly Hilltop Suites.

Going to Carriage your first weekend? Think again

The Daily Campus, University of Connecticut, CT

4 days ago by John Bailey

If you haven't already heard about Carriage through the grapevine, here's the skinny: it's a big, dumb mess. As long as the weather's relatively balmy, the Carriage House apartments are the epicenter of UConn's loudest, drunkest weekend parties. And when that first weekend scoots around the corner, you'll probably find that Carriage is the talk of the dorm. You'll almost certainly be invited, and you will have to make a choice. But is there no choice at all, really? Of course not!

For some, the vibrator has been a symbol of feminism and the women's movement toward independence. But recently, more people are paying attention to the history and cultural significance of one of the most popular sex toys.

Although vibrators have been discussed in plays on campus like "The Vagina Monologues," women may be surprised to find out that the first electromechanical vibrators were created back in the late 19th century - by men.

Resident Assistants (RAs) will for the first time have a document detailing their rights starting this fall, student leaders on campus said.

Marines Piney, this past year's Student Government Association (SGA) vice president for student affairs who spearheaded the creation of the RA Bill of Rights, said RAs have always been held to unwritten rules.

The Northeastern University Division of Public Safety (NUPD) received a call about a group of people drinking outside of White Hall.
